January Portfolio

New year, new bull market?

Happy New Year. Nifty ended 2025 at 10.51% in green, making it the 10th consecutive year to end in green. No bad! While the index did end in green, the year was mostly stressful for many and even red for some. This year, we could see some sectors or stocks to be favourable compared to the broader market and these could also lead to a bull rally if there is one in 2026.

portfolio for January 2026

I’ve still not entered into smallcaps and midcaps, just holding onto largecaps.

Silver continues to be volatile. I’ve booked first tranche of profit on Silver already and now that it has crossed $70, I’ve set it as my second profit booking level. Currently, Silver is trading around $78, and if it falls to $70 I’ll book my second tranche. While Silver did give a big red candle last week, it still sustained above $70.

Gold on the other hand is not as volatile as Silver, although it did show a fall last week, it is almost back to it’s previous high in just a week. I’m not looking to book any profits in Gold and intend to keep SIP’s active for the long term in-line with my diversification goals as well.

On personal note, here’s what I’m aiming for in 2026 😀

That’s it for January!
