March Portfolio
New month, new war
We are at month #3 of 2026, and war number #2 is underway. After Venezuela, this time it’s a trilateral war with US-Israel on one side and Iran on the other, but now the war has turned into a global sport, adding in the entire Middle East and some EU countries stepping in as well. And with war comes new all time high’s for Gold, but not this time! This time it’s different.
Since the war began, Gold has been net negative rather than moving up. The main reason for this could be liquidity crunch and everyone is looking to book profits from what they currently have and after having run up massively recently Gold could be experiencing it’s share of profit booking as well.
As for my thesis in the current scenario. I’m not looking to go all in rightnow and neither am I selling my existing holdings in anticipation of war turning worse moving forward.
I’m not leveraged to feel any pain even if the war drags on, and nor am I fully invested. Still a nice amount of gunpowder left on my end, and I’ll deploy as and when markets look more investable and understandable.
